The 4 Directions Hub at CAAN provides meaningful stakeholder dialogue by collaborating with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities to guide appropriate and culturally relevant engagement when it comes to matters surrounding HIV, HCV, STBBI and Harm Reduction.
By meaningfully engaging First Nation, Inuit and Métis communities and creating a space for discussion aroundHIV, Hep C, STBBI and Harm Reduction, we hope to ensure that the input we receive from community service providers and CAAN membership is heard, valued and honoured.
The 4D Hub Coordinator can link Indigenous communities with resources that support work in HIV, Hepatitis C, STBBI & Harm Reduction such as:
- Community-based research
- Promising Practices Bundles provide information and resources for communities
- Speakers who will share about their lived experiences
- Community readiness training and workshops help communities assess how prepared they are to address a given issue and gives those communities the tools to ‘level up’.
4D Hubs represent the following directions:
- North: Northwest Territories, Yukon and Nunavut
- South: Ontario and Quebec
- East: Newfoundland, Labrador, PEI and Nova Scotia
- West: British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
